Fees

Little Feats sets fees in accordance with its annual budget in order to meet the income required to develop and maintain a quality service for children and families.  We strive to ensure that our service is affordable and accessible to all families in our community.

Families may be entitled to Government benefits and rebates, depending on their individual circumstances.

Before School Care – $15

Afternoon School Care – $25

Hourly Care (3:15pm – 4:45pm)

  • HopePoint Families – $12
  • Other Families – $15

Vacation Care – $55  (Includes Breakfast, morning tea & afternoon tea.  Children are required to bring their own lunch).

Incursions – Cost of incursions are extra if you wish your child to participate.

Emergency Care – Before School (within 24 hours) –  $20

Emergency Care – After School (within 24 hours) – $30

Emergency Care – Vacation Care (within 24 hours) – $60

Casual Care (Before School) – $17

Casual Care (After School) – $27

Care Sessions

PERMANENT BOOKINGS – Before School Care & After School Care (same days each week)

CASUAL BOOKINGS – Before School Care & After School Care (need only basis)

HOURLY CARE – After School Care (1.5 hr session between 3:00pm – 4:30pm.  If your child is collected after the 1.5hrs, the full afternoon fees is applicable).  This care session comes at a reduced rate and is inclusive of transportation.

VACATION CARE – School Holiday Program

EMERGENCY CARE (notice within 24 hours) – Before & After School Care PLUS Vacation Care

Bond

The bond is payable for permanent care only.

Upon being offered a place at the service, the required bond payment is $200 per family with an additional $25 administration fee per child.  These costs are a one-off payment.

This cost secures a child’s placement at the service and provided that two (2) weeks’ notice in writing is given, the bond is fully refundable at the termination of the child’s placement.

Casual care does not incur a bond payment.  However, the $25 administration fee per child is applicable.

Method of Payments

Direct Debit – from your nominated bank account or credit card.

Direct Deposit – Payment is made directly into the Little Feats account.

Cash – Little Feats does not accept any cash payments

If fees are not paid up to date, your child may lose their placement at Little Feats.

Any family who is experiencing hardship in paying their fees, can approach the management team in order to discuss options for resolving fee payment.

Child Care Benefit – Government Subsidies for Families

The new Childcare Subsidy commenced on 2 July 2018.

The Package includes a new Child Care Subsidy, which replaced the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. The Child Care Subsidy:

  • replaced the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) with a single, means-tested subsidy
  • is generally paid directly to child care providers to be passed on to families
  • is simpler than the previous multi-payment system
  • is better targeted and provides more assistance to low and middle income families.

Estimating Child Care Subsidy

Family Child Care Subsidy Estimator is available to make it easy for families to get an idea of what their new subsidy might be under the New Child Care Package.

The estimator is user-friendly and only takes a few minutes to fill out.

The Child Care Safety Net will give the most vulnerable children a strong start, while supporting parents into work.

Bookings & Cancellations

Each family is expected to make bookings in advance for the care sessions required. Bookings will only be accepted when families have completed the service’s enrolment form in full.

Families wishing to cancel their child’s place at the service are required to provide two (2) weeks’ notice to the Management Team. If two weeks’ notice is not given, then fee charges will continue to accrue until notice of cancellation is received in writing by the Management Team. From the point of notification two (2) weeks of permanent fees are due. The bond may be used to settle or contribute towards this final payment.

Vacation Care

Bookings are made via our website once the vacation care program is available.  Bookings are based on the process of “First In, First Served”.

Children commencing kindergarten in January are permitted to attend vacation care in the December/January program, prior to commencing school of that year.

Vacation Care can be booked via our Child Care Management System, Hub Works.  An email will be sent to families mid-term informing them that Vacation Care Bookings and Programs are open and available for their booking convenience.

Our Events Calendar will outline our planned incursions and activities scheduled for each day of the vacation care period.  Incursions are not compulsory.  If you wish to have your child participate, it will incur an additional fee.  Prices will be clearly marked per child on our events calendar.  Children who are not taking part in the incursion activities will still have a wide range of group games and activities to participate in, which will be programmed by our qualified education team.

During Vacation Care, Little Feats provides Breakfast, Morning Tea and Afternoon tea as part of their meal plan.  Children will be required to bring a packed lunch from home during vacation care periods.  Please note that we are a nut free service, therefore encourage you to be mindful of this factor when providing your child with lunch.

Emergency Vacation Care (within 24 hours)

Emergency Vacation Care (within 24 hours notice) will be available to families in the case of an emergency.  This impromptu service comes at an additional fee of $5 per child on top of our standard fee of $55 per day/per child.

Emergency Care (within 24 hours)

This type of care is based on an irregular booking and clarified by care required within a 24 hour notification period.  An emergency booking may occur last minute up to and including the commencement of each session.  Emergency care will be guaranteed, as it is an emergency requirement.   This emergency service comes at an additional fee of $5 per child on top of the standard before and after school care fees per day/per child.

All emergency care must be SMS’d directly to the centre mobile phone 0498 LITTLE (548853).  A confirmation text will be returned as soon as the message is received.  Please note: the centre mobile phone is not manned between the hours of 7:30pm and 5:30am.

Late Fees

Should children be present after closing time (6:00pm), a late fee of $1 per minute per child will apply.

In this instance, parents are required to contact the service, advising management that they will be arriving late.

 

Increase of Fees

The fees are set by the Approved Provider in order to meet the budget for each financial year. There will be ongoing monitoring of the budget and should it be necessary to amend fees, families will be given a minimum of Fourteen (14) days’ notice of any fee increase (Regulation 172).

 

Absences From Care

Any absences or sick days still incur their regular fee. However, if a doctor’s certificate is presented to the Management Team notifying them of an illness that prevents the child from attending for three (3) or more consecutive days, a credit can be made to their accoun.

You are required to advise the centre if your child is going to be absent.

Morning Absences – must be advised no later than 7:00am on the day of absence.

Afternoon Absences – must be advised no later than 1:00pm on the day of absence.

 

Custody of Children

Parents/Guardians must provide the management team with a copy of any court orders in relation to any custody orders, so staff can develop awareness of all the provisions that need to be adhered to.  The service is unable to enforce any custody arrangements or instructions without a copy of the relevant court orders being provided.

We value the confidentiality of all children and families in our care. Therefore, all copies of documentation pertaining to a legal nature will be locked away securely and confidentially in the student’s files away from view.

 

Service Information

Information such as fee statements, surveys and other general service news and information will be emailed to families.

Parents who wish to change bookings can log into the the Hub Works Parent Portal and manage bookings online.

A suggestion box will be placed at the sign-in desk at the centre. We encourage parents to use the suggestion box for:
